Founded by Frezer Tibebu Kebede, an Ethiopian-American entrepreneur with a deep passion for education, culture, and identity, this platform was created to meet a critical and often overlooked need: helping people reconnect with their Ethiopian roots, or connect for the very first time.
The founder’s vision grew out of a personal observation—hundreds of thousands of Ethiopian children raised abroad, thousands of tourists visiting Ethiopia each year, and numerous employees and investors coming for business all face significant challenges in speaking or understanding the local languages. This language barrier creates a disconnect that goes beyond mere communication, affecting cultural belonging, mutual respect, and access to opportunity. LearnEthiopianLanguages.online exists to bridge that gap.
